Why does the mare have a halter on?
More than likely, this is a grumpy mare and its safer for me and anyone else involved in the event I need to intervene quickly.
Will camera be adjusted for a better view at time of birth?
If I'm not foaling mares on my own, I may adjust the cam at birth.
Why did the cam go out?
IF for some unfortunate reason the cam goes down during a foaling, there is
little to nothing I can do as I will be with the mare.
I live in Florida, and unforunately...we have WICKED lighting storms that can
knock power out. (some of you remember Belle's stormy birth...literally.)
Will there be updates at birthing time?
I can NOT update the Message Board if I don't have help or a designated "Message Board Updater" when I am out
with a mare.
IF the Main Board goes down, please go directly to the Back Up Board.
Will tails be wrapped?
Yes, I will wrap my tails if there is time. Or Braid them
Will someone be in with the foaling mare?
Only when the mare settles into Stage II labor and if she needs help.
What in the world is going on with all the touching, bags,
spray bottles, and....?
I will be Imprinting my foals at birth. I understand
there is a lot of controversy on imprinting and would prefer comments withheld.
