Lautrec is an impeccable stallion with exquisite movement and temperament with superb conformation.
He was rated Premium at the Holsteiner Approvals at the tender age of 8 months, showing great character and brilliant movement!
Lautrec's pedigree is outstanding with the most influential Holsteiner stallions behind him, such as Landgraf1 & Ladykiller.
At the USDF Dressage Sport Horse Breeders Sunshine Classic, Lautrec won All-Sport Colts with an incredible score of 88% with a 9 on gaits! He was also Reserve in the Stallion class out of twelve Stallions where he again received 9s on gaits from a different judge!
He was 2000 AHHA Champion Stallion and further outdid himself by placing 3rd. in the Nation in the USDF DSHB Stallions with an average of 86 %!
He also had a wonderful first year out in the Dressage ring, placing 3rd (out of 22 riders!) with a score of 69%!
Though his career has just begun, this young bold moving Holsteiner has a bright career ahead of him.
Unfortunately, I had a fairly nasty accident and while slowly recouping, Lautrec's training was turned over to the more than capable hands of Katherine Poulin, and under the watchful eyes of Mrs. & Mr. Michael Poulin.
Lautrec took the change of rider's in stride and continuously pleased the Poulin's(and MYSELF!) with his progression and his playful barn antics. (He's quite adept at getting humans to fetch his stall ball after tossing it over the stall door and onto the isle.)
I plan on bringing Lautrec back out in Fall of 2002 at Second and Third Level. He is currently schooling Prix St. Georges Level movements and as always, is just a joy to work with.
We are excitedly waiting on Lautrec's first foals due in 2003 (out of our mares.).
We will be standing him to outside mares in 2003 via Fresh Shipped Semen and possibly Frozen as well.
